  1. Pre-purchase Inspections / Condition Assessment Surveys / Damage Surveys

FG Maritime can inspect and survey any kind of vessel based on strong competencies and experience of its team. Several vessels were attended for pre-purchase inspections, condition assessment surveys, damage surveys in Turkey, Caspian Sea countries and Europe where we can mobilize our team easily. Type of vessels attended are oil/chemical tankers, general cargo carriers, offshore platform supply vessel, AHTS, bulk carriers, container vessels and gas carriers.

2. Technical Superintendent Visits on Behalf of Management Companies

We have attended vessels to conduct internal technical inspections on behalf of management companies when their superintendents cannot travel due to certain reasons. Following the company specific reporting requirements is very easy for the experienced FG Maritime inspectors upon having an effective remote familiarization.

3. PSC Pre-Inspections / PSC Deficiency Follow Up Surveys

We assist shipowners/managers either for Paris MoU or BlackSea Mou PSC inspections by attending the vessels and identify potential PSC deficiencies in advance. Ex-class surveyors, ex-masters/chief engineers of our team are very good at not only for highlighting the deficiencies but also classifying the priorities based on similar approaches followed by PSC regimes.

We also attend vessels for PSC rectification surveys to assist shipowners regarding supervision of repairs, communication with PSC,FSA and class societies to release the vessel without causing further delays.

4. Management System Audits (ISM-ISPS-MLC & ISO 9001-14001)

Internal ISM-ISPS-MLC audits as well ISO 9001 & 14001 shipboard audits are one of the strongest areas for FG Maritime. Having experienced ex-class auditors is an advantage for FG Maritime while conducting audits on any kind of vessels.

5. Dry-dock Project Management

FG Maritime Team has been attending dry-dock projects not only in Tuzla and Yalova shipyards but also in China, Senegal and EU yards when required by the owners/managers. As our team has a great experience at various repair yards, class societies as well as well-known management companies, we are able to manage a dry-dock project knowing details from different perspectives(budget control, following relevant rules & regulations, critical areas for yard processes, consideration of post-docking activities)

6. Supervision of Retrofit Projects & Commissioning

Supervison of BWTS installations of different brands have been conducted by FG Maritime both at local yards as well as during installations while sailing. We have also attended different vessels for commissioning of BWTS during voyages by our commissioning engineers trained and experienced for different brands.

7. Supervision of Repairs:

Supervision of repairs since planning till completion and verification by class societies, P&I representatives are within the scope of FG Maritime. Our responsibility for such projects is not only technically supervising but also maintaining an effective communication between yard-owners-repair workshop-class society at all stages of the repair till completion.

8. Supervision of Yacht Refit Projects

We have supervised the refit project of a 38m motor yacht which belongs to a well-known business person in Turkey. The yacht is classed by a reputable IACS society and FG Maritime is responsible for supervision of new installations (incl. selection of equipment with correct certification), all site activities, correspondence with class and design companies especially for modifications on board.

9. Consultancy Services

We have been currently delivering consultancy services to various ship management companies for implementation of upcoming rules & regulations, SIRE 2.0 and TMSA3 gap analysis for tanker operators, ISO9001 & 14001 implementation for various shipmanagement companies as well as assisting owners/managers for creating certain SMS procedures.

10. Engineering Services

Preparation of EEXI technical file, SEEMP Part III were completed for approximately 70 vessels between Q3 of 2022 and 2023. We are utilizing all relevant resources such as CFD analysis by our partner companies within and outside Turkey.

Preparation of design and manufacturing drawings for new installations, ITPs are a few of the areas we assist shipowners and managers.

11. Trainings

We have a framework agreement with DNV’s Maritime Academy. The typical courses we deliver are:

  • Internal auditor course
  • Practical Incident Investigation and Root cause Analysis.
  • ISO 9001 & 14001 & 45001 for shipping companies
  • Maritime risk management and management of change
  • Integrated management systems course
  • DPA course
  • Understanding SOLAS/ISM/MLC (3 different courses)

    We delivered more than 30 different training sessions for the last 12 months either face-to-face(in Turkey, UAE, EU) or remotely.
